Acura x Sundance Film Festival

As part of Acura's New World, Same Energy campaign—celebrating the launch of their all-electric concept car and commitment to performance, innovation, and sustainability—I was invited to design a site-specific interactive installation for their highly trafficked lounge on Main Street during the Sundance Film Festival, where Acura was the presenting sponsor.

Installation

“New Worlds” invites viewers to step into the new frontier of electric experiences. Inspired by Acura’s precision engineering, the media exhibit was algorithmically generated using a network of scripts.

The installation used a Kinect sensor to capture and transform real-time spatial data from the lounge, encouraging viewers to navigate within the environment.

By incorporating stylized videos processed through analog video hardware, and generative patterns/textures crafted through computational processes, the installation evoked a sense of nostalgia while embracing cutting-edge technology.
